As opposed to standard eyepieces, this connector is equipped with a M28,5x0.6 (1.25 ") male thread, which allows direct installation of accessories equipped with a female filter thread such as observation glasses or adapters ? diameter 1.25 ". Thanks to this, we obtain a 25mm larger focusing range. In the bottom part of the part there is also a female M28,5 x 0,6 filter thread that allows you to attach observation filters or consecutive connectors to achieve an even greater focus range.
One example of the application for this eyepiece adapter is the situation where the focal point is located very little outside the scope of the system. The use of a standard 1? "eyebrow connector is not a good solution. In this case, a 25mm eyepiece with double-sided thread can be used simultaneously with a 0.5x focal length reducer. Thanks to such a layout, the focusing point will be shifted.
